Abstract
War and peace from the perspective of religious teachings, like the other human social conducts, is affected by rules and regulations which rulers, commanders, and troops must observe. Achieving the Islamic humane objectives of war and peace is possible if these unnatural phenomena, which are sometimes unwanted and sometimes as a result of necessity, is managed on the basis of religious laws. The present paper includes a selected collection of regulations, precepts, fashions of war and peace and other Islamic military teachings with an emphasis on the narrations in the “Bihar al-Anwar”, the big narration compilation.
