Identity as a birth certificate representing the truth of individuals and societies has been one of the most important issues in the field of social studies. In societies, there are different identity-creating elements. In Islamic society, Islam plays a role as the most important social factor in defining the identity of individuals and societies. Political jurisprudence as a practical arm of Islam in the socio-political field, expresses the actions and character of individuals, groups and political structure, this knowledge by drawing the principles and rules of religious policy and the rules of life of citizens, behavior and speech and even the thought of an individual and It organizes the society, which makes them have a distinct and privileged identity from others. This research seeks to answer the functions of political jurisprudence in the construction of the identity of the Islamic society. In the hypothesis, it has been emphasized that one of the most important identity functions of political jurisprudence is highlighting the province as a central and unifying element in the Islamic society, and other identity functions include responsibility, establishing divine limits, oppression The struggle against tyranny, the rule of divine law, justice and attention to the affairs of Muslims, is understood in its light. This task has been done with the method of ijtihad.
