Waiting will give society the ability to be active and the capacity to build a future, and will move it away from stagnation, satisfaction with the current situation and everyday life. A waiting society is not a society that is in a state of isolation and separate from social and global equations, but rather a waiting society that constantly pays attention to its achievable goal and ideal, and sees missions on its shoulders on a civilizational scale.
After the formation of the Islamic Revolution, the level of perception of the waiting of the Imam of the Age underwent changes; because the late Imam and after him, the Supreme Leader began to explain the two-way relationship between the revolution and the introduction of the era of revelation in theoretical and operational fields. After the revolution, our society moved towards angles of non-individual waiting at the social level, and this effort, although on a scale beyond and incomparable with the past, is still a significant distance from the ideal. Among the systems that are in line with waiting and affect the nearness and after the revelation, the political system is at the level of the religious government. Expectation is not an abstract thing, but rather it has an active truth that will lead the expectant in a purposeful process towards the desired desired. The Islamic Revolution in its essence benefits from this type of expectation in order to achieve its desired point. However, it is natural that the revolution’s movement towards its grand ideals depends on the extent to which it benefits from this type of expectation; because passive and uninvolved expectation in various areas of social systems will reduce the functions of this transcendent truth to the lowest possible level. Today, Mahdism is in a minimal state with a non-dominant reading on various social contexts. It is natural that in such a case, the revolution, with the aim of setting the goal of emergence, will remain only at the level of a slogan. This work, using a descriptive-analytical method, has been devoted to explaining the civilizational capacities of political expectation and has finally concluded that political expectation has a civilizational truth that can lead the Islamic Revolution to its global ideals. The civilizational capacities of political expectation can be evaluated in three longitudinal stages of civilizational design, inclusiveness, and resilience so that the Islamic Revolution can take steps towards its goals in the theoretical, operational, and deterrence stages.
